2 Out, 2 In

Bob took Meredith to the Father Daughter Dance at the middle school last Sunday the 12th. Yes, Meredith wanted to wear some make-up AND put in on by herself. She also designed that little jacket she's wearing. She took an old shirt, cut off the sleeves and much of the bottom half, slit it up the front and then colored peace signs and hearts onto it with marker. It's actually quite cute! They had a great time dancing to tunes spun by a DJ and having a treat. They even brought home a heart-shaped balloon for Catherine!

Catherine was unable to accept her father's invitation to the dance because she had acquired the tummy bug that morning. Ugh. But...there was a silver lining. Catherine and I have been reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Year 1), and we finished it Sunday afternoon. So...while Daddy had a dancing date I got to have a movie date with Catherine! We WATCHED the Sorcerer's Stone that evening. Catherine exclaimed that so many of the things in the movie looked JUST LIKE she had pictured them while we were reading!

That flu-like bug then proceeded to take Bob and I down at the same time unfortunately. Bob and I were down for the count in bed Tuesday night at about 6:00pm. I set a timer for 7:00 for the girls and told them when it rings, please put yourselves to bed. They did a pretty good job. Bob and I are back with the living today and hopefully Meredith will be spared...
